Located on 16 ha or about 40 acres in the beautiful Saskatchewan River valley just west of Wapiti ski-hill, this house is a nature lover's dream. Fort-à-la-Corne is 1 mile to the west with lots of trails for hiking or ATVing in the summer and snowmobiling, down-hill and X-country skiing in the winter. The house is bordered on two sides by organically farmed fields, on the other two sides by bush. The ski-hill is only 6 km away and can be seen from the living room, as can the river. All sorts of wildlife is abundant. The very private setting is only 800 metres from the river.

This unique house is custom built with 10 inch walls and triple-glazed windows. It is heated by a floor heating system with the water heated by an electrical low temp boiler. Water comes from a wide-bore well with excellent drinking water, no treatment required. There are two sheds on the property as well as a simple greenhouse. There is also a screened gazebo. Roof was redone with asphalt shingles in 2010. House sits on three large cement slabs with a small crawl space underneath the middle section.

On the north side of the house are the master bedroom with an ensuite (shower) and two bedrooms with a shared full bath. In the central section is a sewing or crafts area and the laundry/mechanical rooms. In the southern part is the large living, dining and kitchen area in an open space with cathedral ceiling made very bright by a wall full of windows giving a beautiful view of the valley including the river. There is also an office, a guest bedroom and a bath (shower). The 25x25 games/rec room offers enough space for a pool table and a TV viewing area or could be set up as a workshop, being well separated from the rest of the house. There is lots of storage space throughout the house.

Cross-country ski trails, a marina, a ski-hill and hunting opportunities are very close. Can be used as a residence, a recreational property or a vacation rental. Elementary school is a 15 min drive, high-school a 20 min drive away.
